Two New Honda Concepts Unveiled in Beijing

Honda recently unveiled two new concepts at the 2012 Beijing Auto Show. And while most use the event as a chance to show off vehicles for emerging markets, Honda defied such conventions in favor of showcasing two models that are bound for very different segments.

First there's the Honda Concept C. It's a prowling sports sedan, with an edgy, upscale look that is unlike anything we've ever seen. At first glance, it could easily be mistaken for an Aston Martin, if not for the Big H on its hood. The only downside? Honda says it will be exclusive to the Chinese market.

The other concept that Honda unveiled at the event is the Concept S. It's a five-door hatchback hybrid, which has been designed to accommodate more passengers and cargo. Think of it as a slightly larger insight, with a more fluidic body. It, however, unlike the Concept C, is destined for a global release, which could include joining the new Honda lineup at Smart Honda serving Des Moines.

Honda didn't reveal any performance or efficiency specs in regards to either model at the show. However, the Big H did give some insight into when we can expect to them released. Their timeframe? Either 2014 or 2015.
